What?
In these courses, you are invited to paint freely and intuitively, explore your self-awareness, pause and listen to yourself, awaken your creativity, and release your mind in liberating conversations. The method blends deep listening, painting, stillness, and guidance tailored personally for you.
In Listening Painting Courses you deepen your self-knowledge and open your creativity. The work is based on deep listening and personally tailored guidance for you. You don’t need to be an artist or aim to become one. You don’t need to know how to paint or draw. On the other hand, you may be a professional artist and still discover that your skills are not of primary importance here, since this process is about something else entirely.
You can join these courses at the same time as the Vedic Art Courses. Listening Painting Course can last two days, three days, or six days (when available) — the choice is yours. There are no shorter courses, except for introductory Listering Painting Workshops (more information below).
Where?
Courses are held in our home in the heart of Fiskars ironworks village.
From here it’s a short walk to nature trails, swimming spots, as well as the village’s cultural and restaurant offerings. Meals can also easily be taken in the village restaurants and cafes.

Practical Information – Schedule, Meals, Accommodation, and Fees
Schedule: Course days are 10:00–16:00. You can arrive already after 9:30 to settle in. Please drive carefully when leaving after the course day.
Meals: Bring your own packed lunch and dinner if you will. You can cook in the guest kitchen. There are restaurants and cafés in the village where you may also eat. Coffee and tea are included in the course.
Accommodation: You may attend without accommodation. If you wish, you may stay in our guest rooms during the course. Photos and details can be found on our Airbnb page: https://www.airbnb.com/h/wilhelmshojd. Note! For courses you book directly through me, not via Airbnb. During the courses the accommodation costs are lower than usual, it is €50 per person per night. Bed linen and towels are not included, so please bring your own. Our home is also home to two cats.
During the courses, spaces not shown in the listing are also open. During summer we paint outdoors in the garden, while in winter or rainy weather we move indoors to different parts of the house.
You may also arrive the evening before to gently prepare for the atmosphere of the course. An additional night with the course is 50 euros. Please always book accommodation in advance.

All include a 1-hour personal session (see Liberating Conversations). (For clarity: 2 days = €80 conversation + €200 course = €260; 3 days = €80 conversation + €300 course = €380; 6 days = 1,5 hours of conversation €120 + €600 course = €720.)

Materials needed for the course
Bring your own painting materials (acrylic paints, watercolors, etc. Oil paints not suitable due to slow drying and strong smell).
If you don’t want to purchase your own supplies to keep at home, you can buy a materials kit from me for the course. The kit is available for €10 per course day. This can be a good option if you paint only occasionally. The materials kit includes all the supplies you will need during the course with acrylic paints EXCEPT painting surfaces. Also, it does not include any note-taking materials.
A list of the supplies you will need:
- Painting pad (A2/A3), suitable for acrylic and/or watercolors.
- If you are already familiar with painting, you may bring ready-made painting surfaces.
- Sketchpad (A2/A3) suitable for acrylic and/or watercolor. If you are experienced, you may bring prepared canvases in your preferred size.
- Optional notebook, soft pencil (e.g. B6), variety of papers (300g, suitable for acrylics), A2 and A3 pads. Small cardboard plates as palettes. Disposable gloves if preferred. Apron or clothes for painting (not included in supply kit).
- Brushes (including one large 5 cm), palette knives, sponge, rag, kitchen paper, glue (PVA/gesso), masking tape, water-soluble paints (basic colors + black & white), lots of painting paper (250–300 g, A2).
- Any cheap plain sketch paper for the daily morning practice (to be discarded immediately, no need for quality paper).
- You can wash the brushes with water and pine soap; the house provides both the soap and the washing equipment. Paint water is collected in a separate container (not poured into the sink).
